Nonprofit management is a complex system, and successful fundraising is just one piece of the puzzle. When circumstances call for it, Thread is proud to strategically collaborate with companies whose work complements ours to provide a more comprehensive service to our nonprofit partners.

Fundraising and organizational strategy go hand in hand. A strong strategic plan needs funding to move forward, and funders are more likely to support organizations with a clear, strategic direction. Thread is proud to partner with Third Plateau for strategic planning, program design, board strengthening and metrics/evaluation work to complement our development work.

Thread is honored to serve as faculty for the Spur Local’s organizational capacity-building program – The Learning Commons. Spur Local increases the visibility and resources of roughly 370 of the Washington, DC Region’s best community-based nonprofits. In addition to connecting members with new supporters, Spur Local also seeks to help them to become stronger, better organizations in order to raise their impact to new levels. As faculty, the Thread team assists by delivering part of the Learning Commons curriculum, which is available exclusively and free of charge to Spur Local nonprofits.
