Luis Ramirez is a dedicated fundraising professional who focuses on building long-lasting relationships between donors and the causes they support. He has spent over 10 years assisting local and national nonprofits with their fundraising efforts, most recently serving as the Director of Individual Giving at Active Minds, a national nonprofit supporting youth and young adult mental health.  Before joining Thread, Luis also held fundraising roles at Food & Friends, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization that provides medically tailored meals to individuals living with serious illnesses, and Rebuilding Together, a national nonprofit committed to providing essential home repairs to help residents stay in their homes. 

Luis is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a degree in Community Health. Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, he relocated to Pittsburgh in 2021. In his free time, Luis enjoys caring for his many houseplants, working in his garden, and taking long walks through the city.
